The Power of Peer Support

Recovery doesn't happen alone.

Connection matters. Community matters. Support matters.

Peer Washington believes that people are stronger when they don't have to face life's challenges by themselves. Through peer support, we help people find hope, build resilience, develop new skills, and create meaningful connections that support long-term recovery and well-being.

Throughout June, we're celebrating the power of peer support and the people, programs, and partnerships that make recovery possible every day across Washington State.

Who We Are

Peer Washington is an LGBTQ+ organization dedicated to cultivating powerful, healthy lives through peer emotional support and development services.

For more than three decades, we have worked to create welcoming spaces where people can find support, build community, and access opportunities for growth and recovery.

Founded by and for members of the LGBTQ+ community, our organization remains deeply connected to those roots today. Over the years, our services have expanded to support people from many backgrounds who are impacted by addiction, mental health challenges, HIV/AIDS, and other chronic illnesses.

We remain committed to the belief that everyone deserves dignity, respect, connection, and support.

Real Stories. Real Support. Real Community.

The power of peer support can be seen in the lives of the people we serve every day.

Throughout June, we'll be sharing stories from members, volunteers, peer coaches, and community leaders whose lives have been impacted by connection, support, and recovery.

These stories remind us that recovery happens in many different ways, but one thing remains constant

Recovery Happens Together.
